Even Savannah Guthrie's son is enamored with Fleet Week!

On Thursday, May 23, the journalist, 52, had a special guest FaceTime in as the U.S. Navy band performed on Today. As footage of the band playing was streamed into the studio, co-host Hoda Kotb shared that the show had a surprise, virtual visit from Guthrie's 7-year-old son Charley.

“You know who else is enjoying this music? The plaza outside, the three of us and one little boy. Savannah’s son is on FaceTime," Kotb shares, holding up the phone to show Charley on FaceTime. "He wanted to hear a little bit of it. Say hi Charley! Char having breakfast!”

“You know what? He wanted to hear a little bit too and you can’t blame him. The music’s incredible," Kotb continues.

“It’s wonderful but I was telling him, shh! We’re on the air," Guthrie responds.

The video was shared to Today's X account, where the show wrote, "When you're a news anchor on live tv but also a mom 💕 @savannahguthrie had a special guest on TODAY this morning!"

Guthrie is mom to Charley and daughter Vale, 9, whom she shares with husband Michael Feldman.

"I'm so grateful for my blessings. I really can't get over it — I'll never get over it," the Today star told PEOPLE in February of becoming a mother. "I got to have babies long past the time that anyone would really be hopeful, [and] I had long given up hope."

Elsewhere in her conversation with PEOPLE, Guthrie reflected on how "there were times when I didn't think there was much hope for me," but highlighted how parenthood has left her feeling "so lucky."

"I'm so grateful," she noted. "But I'm always mindful of talking about that too, because we all have moments in our lives where we don't feel that the thing we wanted to happen has happened, or we don't feel that we have been blessed."

Earlier this spring, Guthrie shared a glimpse of her outing with her daughter to the Broadway show & Juliet in New York City.

Guthrie reposted a cute video from the show's Instagram account of her and Vale singing and dancing on stage with some of the cast members on her Instagram Stories. The mother-daughter pair also snapped some fun photos with the cast after the show.

"My little Broadway star," the proud mom wrote of her daughter across the picture.
